Spring 2010 will herald the premiere of Carrollton, Georgia's up and coming Writer/Director, Regina Well's, "Between Love & A Hard Place". Brent Brooks of Atlanta, Georgia, who has a list of credits to his name, also directed the movie. The film features Bern Nadette Stanis ('Thelma' of the 70's sitcom, "Good Times"); IronE Singleton of BET's, "Somebodies", "The Blindside", "The Angry Rabbit Jumps" and other films; Deerfield, Florida native and Arrow Records recording artist, songwriter, producer and vocal arranger, Canton Jones; Kaira Akita of Tyler Perry's, "Why Did I Get Married" and "The Family That Preys"; and Nina Nicole of Rahiem Shabazz’s “The Sun Will Rise”, "The Kissing Bandit”, “The Fall of Naomi” and reality series “Holidate” on the Soap Opera Network. The film also includes other Georgia talents. The movie centers around Stanis' character, 'Beverly', who plays an overly protective, lonely and conflicted mother of 'Mark' (IronE Singleton), and 'Gerald' (Canton Jones), her sons. The film is produced by Unique Be'ans, a native Georgian and is presently on the cutting room floor.
